Steffen Wippel, Research network "Re-Configurations. History, Remembrance and Transformation Processes in the Middle East and North Africa", Philipps-Universität Marburg

is a senior researcher at the Research Network "Re-Configurations. History, Remembrance and Transformation Processes in the Middle East and North Africa", which is closely connected to the Centre for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS), Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany). His current research project is on the urban and economic reconfigurations of Tangier as a transregional hub. At the same time, he is teaching as an associate professor (Privatdozent) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
